阿姨 [a1 yi2] is a form of address used by a child for a woman about his/her mother´s age. It is also common to put a family name before 阿姨 [a1 yi2], e.g. 张阿姨 [zhang1 a1 yi2].(2) 阿姨 [a1 yi2] is also used by adults and children for domestic helpers and female nursery staff.
